Find answers to common questions about therapy and the services offered at Anew Therapy & Counselling. We offer in-person counselling in Barrie and virtually across Ontario. We’re here to help you understand the therapy process and find the support you need.
Therapy is a collaborative process where we’ll work together to explore your concerns, gain insights, and develop strategies for positive change. It’s a safe and supportive space where you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
The duration of therapy varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some people find that a few sessions are helpful, while others benefit from longer-term therapy. We’ll discuss this together and develop a plan that makes sense for you.
The frequency of sessions is typically determined based on your needs and preferences. Many people start with weekly sessions, and we can adjust the frequency as you progress.
Many extended health insurance plans and employee benefit packages offer coverage for psychotherapy services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist. Coverage varies depending on your specific plan, so it’s essential to contact your insurance provider to confirm your coverage details. I’m happy to provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
